Refund Policy

Last updated: June 12, 2026

We want you to be satisfied with the books you buy on bookshelf.dev. This policy explains when and how you can request a refund. Payments and refunds are processed by Polar (Polar.sh), our Merchant of Record.

1. One-time book purchases

If you are not satisfied with a book you purchased, you may request a full refund within 14 days of purchase. Because books are digital content delivered immediately, we may decline refund requests where the content has been substantially downloaded or accessed, or where there is evidence of abuse.

2. Subscriptions

3. How to request a refund

Email [email protected] from the address you used at checkout, including your order or receipt details. Because Polar is the Merchant of Record, you can also manage your order and request a refund from the customer portal linked in the receipt email Polar sent you.

4. How refunds are issued

Approved refunds are processed by Polar to your original payment method. The time for the funds to appear depends on your bank or card provider, typically within 5–10 business days.

5. Statutory rights

This policy does not limit any statutory rights you may have under applicable consumer-protection law (for example, the EU/UK right of withdrawal for digital content, subject to its conditions).

6. Contact

Questions about refunds? Contact [email protected].

Template starting point — confirm the refund window (14 days used here) and wording match your intent and Polar's settings before relying on it. This is not legal advice.
